Double the recipe for these delicious biscuits and freeze the leftovers in small plastic bags. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour or until defrosted; heat and serve for breakfast or dinner.
2 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl; mix well.
Add sour cream and butter; stir until well mixed. Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times.
Pat out 3/4-inch thick; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter or a lightly floured drinking glass.
Arrange biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
Bake the biscuits on parchment paper to save cleanup time. Dip the cutting edge of the biscuit cutter in flour before using to keep the dough from sticking to the cutter.
