Servings: 6

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: none

Partner: fruit punch

Use leftover Almond Raisin Dip for stuffed French toast. Spread between 2 pieces of buttered bread. Dip in a mixture of 1 beaten egg, 1/4 cup milk and 1 teaspoon sugar. Sauté toast in butter until browned on both sides.

Ingredients

12 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup sour cream

1 1/2 cup raisins

1 cup sliced almonds

Assorted crackers

Directions

  1. Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar and sour cream in a medium bowl with an electric mixer set at medium speed until creamy, about 1 minute.

  2. Stir raisins and almonds into cream cheese mixture; mix well.

  3. Spoon mixture into a small serving bowl. Cover; chill spread until ready to use.

  4. Place serving bowl on a platter. Surround with assorted crackers.

Almond Raisin Dip tip: For a quick and elegant hors doeuvre, pipe the softened cheese spread onto crackers using a pastry bag with a large star tip. Top each cracker with sliced almonds.
