Cheesy Crab Appetizer

Servings: 1

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Partner: ginger ale

Crabmeat is expensive, and cooking and picking crabs is time-consuming. Instead, use one 6-ounce or two 4-ounce cans of crabmeat in this Cheesy Crab Appetizer. Drain and rinse well before using.

Ingredients

4 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened

1 (5-ounce) jar sharp cheese spread

2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese

2 Tbsp mayonnaise

6 oz crabmeat

1/2 tsp seasoned salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

6 English muffins

1/2 tsp paprika

Directions

  1. Combine butter, cheese spread, Parmesan, mayonnaise, crabmeat, seasoned salt and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Mix well to combine.

  2. Cut the English muffins into halves. Spread the crabmeat mixture on the muffin halves.

  3. Arrange muffins on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with paprika.

  4. Broil until tops are browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from baking sheet. Cut each muffin half into quarters.

Cheesy Crab Appetizer tip: An electric mixer will combine the topping ingredients in step 1 in less than 1 minute.
