You can save money by omitting the liquid smoke flavoring and cooking these Pork Sausage Hamburgers over charcoal to create a natural smoke flavoring. Add a handful of water-soaked wood chips for a stronger smoky flavor.

1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp liquid smoke flavoring
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 loaves of French bread
Lettuce leaves
Sliced red onion
Sliced tomatoes
Directions
-
Preheat grill or broiler. Combine beef, sausage, onion, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke and garlic powder in a large bowl; mix well.
-
Shape the mixture into oval patties. Place on a platter.
-
Grill patties over medium-hot coals, turning once, until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
