Chicken Garlic Pizza
You can save money and calories and still serve a sensational Chicken Garlic Pizza. Simply eliminate the mozzarella cheese and chicken add some extra chopped green onions and sautéed veggies for a meatless Asian pizza.
1 (6.5-ounce) package pizza crust mix
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup vegetable oil, divided
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup rice vinegar or cider vinegar
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 450°F. Prepare pizza crust mix according to package directions. Press dough into a 13- to 15-inch round pizza pan or a jelly-roll pan.
Cut chicken into bite-size pieces. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken. Cook, stirring, until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet.
Combine garlic, pepper flakes, soy sauce, honey and vinegar in skillet. Cook, stirring, until liquid is syrupy, about 5 minutes. Add chicken; stir until glazed. Remove from heat.
Brush pizza dough with remaining oil. Spread mozzarella, then chicken over dough. Sprinkle with green onions. Bake until crust is golden, about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Chicken Garlic Pizza tip: If you use a pizza stone and cook this pizza at 500 degrees, it will only take 8 to 10 minutes to cook.
