1 lb ground chuck
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (15-ounce) can chopped tomatoes
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
4 bay leaves
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
8 oz thin spaghetti
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Heat a large skillet over medium heat; add ground chuck and onion. Cook until browned and crumbly, about 5 minutes; drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Add bay leaves, Italian seasoning and Worcestershire sauce to skillet; cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, about 25 minutes. Discard bay leaves.
While sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti according to package directions.
Spoon sauce over hot spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Spaghetti Bolognese tip: To keep pasta water from boiling over, rub a small amount of vegetable oil around the inside top of the pot before you add the water.
